AUDIO/PHOTO BY M.L. RAMSBURG
Steve Rutledge, a Greenbrier County resident, said he is “completely” against the practice of strip mining. He’s also a supporter of Blair Mountain, and said “the history of West Virginia is Blair Mountain.” In this audio clip, Steve talks about why strip mining is bad for West Virginia, how he relates the history of Blair Mountain to some of the students he substitute teaches, and why he supports the marchers. “Faces in the Crowd” is an occasional series of profiles on March attendees and supporters.
